Chiropractic Manipulation
Chiropractic manipulation, also known as a chiropractic adjustment, involves placing the body into a safe position and applying a controlled force to a restricted joint with the aim of restoring proper movement and function. This can be done anywhere along the spine or extremities. A manipulation is used to help restore normal joint mobility, which alleviates pain, improves range of motion, heightens athletic performance, and enhances overall well-being.
Joints often become restricted due to poor posture, improper biomechanics, and injury. A joint that is restricted leads to excessive motion in nearby joints, which can create compensatory motion elsewhere, and thus lead to injury. The adjustment is one tool that allows us to restore proper movement patterns around the body.
Our methods of manipulation come from the Motion Palpation Institute, the world leader in evidence-based chiropractic manipulation techniques.
